Watch Me Turn 30, by Holly C.
I'm a 29-year-old New Yorker who inherited this site from my pal, Holly P., to document the final year of my twenties. Right up until I turn the big 3-0 next January, I'll use this blog to indulge my inner-narcissist by voicing the good (I can date men anywhere from ages 21 to 50 without it being scandalous) the bad (I keep getting ma'amed) and the ugly (is it possible to get cellulite on your stomach?!). Here's to waving goodbye to my youth, accepting adulthood and remembering that every ending is really just a new beginning.

DAY 362  |  January 26, 2008
The theme of my birthday celebration is “Party Like a Twenty-Something” since I still have four days until I enter my next decade. I chose to have it in my Williamsburg ‘hood at My Moon because the Turkish bar/restaurant has an exotic feel without the crowds, lines or scene you might find in similar establishments in Manhattan.

My sisters made me wear this tiara and baked me chocolate cupcakes with vanilla frosting. And I know I’m not supposed to tell you what I wished for when I blew out the candles, but I’m going to throw it out there: I wished that my next year be as good as my last.
