Watch Me Turn 30, by Holly C.
I'm a 29-year-old New Yorker who inherited this site from my pal, Holly P., to document the final year of my twenties. Right up until I turn the big 3-0 next January, I'll use this blog to indulge my inner-narcissist by voicing the good (I can date men anywhere from ages 21 to 50 without it being scandalous) the bad (I keep getting ma'amed) and the ugly (is it possible to get cellulite on your stomach?!). Here's to waving goodbye to my youth, accepting adulthood and remembering that every ending is really just a new beginning.

DAY 330  |  December 25, 2007
For me, I equate Christmas with my mother. Iíve spent all my 29 December 25ths with her. Itís not ever really Christmas until I decorate the tree as she explains the story behind where each ornament came from. Until Iím sitting at her kitchen table shoveling in her fresh-out-of-the-oven chocolate chip cookies like a sugar addict let loose in a candy store. Until I snuggle into a cozy bed warmed by the heating pad she placed there for me so I wouldnít get cold. My mother takes care of me better than anyone on earth. And if Christmas is more about the people you love and less about the presents, then (phantom baby talk aside!) Christmas for me is all about my Mom.
