Watch Me Turn 30, by Holly C.
I'm a 29-year-old New Yorker who inherited this site from my pal, Holly P., to document the final year of my twenties. Right up until I turn the big 3-0 next January, I'll use this blog to indulge my inner-narcissist by voicing the good (I can date men anywhere from ages 21 to 50 without it being scandalous) the bad (I keep getting ma'amed) and the ugly (is it possible to get cellulite on your stomach?!). Here's to waving goodbye to my youth, accepting adulthood and remembering that every ending is really just a new beginning.

DAY 291  |  November 16, 2007
If you ever find yourself on Manhattan’s lower west side, I highly recommend dropping by the new barbecue joint called Hill Country. The ladies and I decided to have a low-key Friday night and catch up on girl talk over dinner. We had to wait more than an hour to be seated, but it was worth every second once we finally got a table and walked up to the grill to help ourselves to smoked spare ribs, juicy char-grilled chicken and bourbon-infused mashed sweet potatoes. We sat downstairs where we listened to live country music and got lost in conversation about work, love and life in the way that can only happen with your best girlfriends.
