Watch Me Turn 30, by Holly C.
I'm a 29-year-old New Yorker who inherited this site from my pal, Holly P., to document the final year of my twenties. Right up until I turn the big 3-0 next January, I'll use this blog to indulge my inner-narcissist by voicing the good (I can date men anywhere from ages 21 to 50 without it being scandalous) the bad (I keep getting ma'amed) and the ugly (is it possible to get cellulite on your stomach?!). Here's to waving goodbye to my youth, accepting adulthood and remembering that every ending is really just a new beginning.

DAY 286  |  November 11, 2007
I love drugstores almost as much as I love grocery stores. While many women are obsessed with shoes, my weakness is products—I can get caught up for hours sampling emerald-green eye shadows, ruby-red lipsticks and topaz-shaded blushes.

Maybe I inherited this particular fascination from my Grandma. Whenever her grandkids would come visit her, we’d ask, “Gram, have you been to the drug store today?” She’d look surprised, confirm our suspicions and ask us how we knew. “Because you smell like perfume! All those fragrances you sample are a dead giveaway.”

Ha! At least I didn’t inherit the compulsion to dump into my purse all the jelly packets when I’m at a restaurant or hoard hotel towels when I’m on vacation. Well, not yet at least.:)
