Watch Me Turn 30, by Holly C.
I'm a 29-year-old New Yorker who inherited this site from my pal, Holly P., to document the final year of my twenties. Right up until I turn the big 3-0 next January, I'll use this blog to indulge my inner-narcissist by voicing the good (I can date men anywhere from ages 21 to 50 without it being scandalous) the bad (I keep getting ma'amed) and the ugly (is it possible to get cellulite on your stomach?!). Here's to waving goodbye to my youth, accepting adulthood and remembering that every ending is really just a new beginning.

DAY 275  |  October 31, 2007
I wore my red dress out tonight for Halloween, but left my ladybug wings at home to hit up a dive bar in the East Village. This is Roger, who shares my going-out philosophy: Live it up during the weekdays when bars and restaurants arenít so packed. He doesnít think itís worth it to go out weekend nights because there are so many people that you have to:

1. Fight your way through the masses whenever you want to get to the bar

2. Deal with those drunkards who think that itís completely acceptable to do five shots in two hours just because itís Friday

3. Throw yourself in front of a cab to beat the hoards of revelers on the street corners trying to flag one down

Every so often itís fun to just get lost in the crazy party crowd, but I think Iím joining Team Roger and favoring the more laid-back weekend option.
