So I finally went back to Barneyís to use my gift certificate. This time, I bypassed the designer clothing section filled with $1,500 pairs of pants and headed straight to the cosmetics counter.
It was a good move, because one of the saleswomen was amazingly helpful. She tested all different skincare products and cosmetic shades on my skin. Sometimes I get stuck in a rut and donít know how to switch things up, so it was priceless to have a pro match me with the perfect foundation shade and concealer. I walked out of there with Giorgio Armani Hydra Glow Foundation that cost nearly $60, and it was worth every cent (even though I used my gift certificateóha!). Iím not a big spender, but skincare is something thatís worth splurging foróbecause a glowing complexion makes me feel more beautiful than having a cute pair of shoes or the perfect bag.
