Watch Me Turn 30, by Holly C.
I'm a 29-year-old New Yorker who inherited this site from my pal, Holly P., to document the final year of my twenties. Right up until I turn the big 3-0 next January, I'll use this blog to indulge my inner-narcissist by voicing the good (I can date men anywhere from ages 21 to 50 without it being scandalous) the bad (I keep getting ma'amed) and the ugly (is it possible to get cellulite on your stomach?!). Here's to waving goodbye to my youth, accepting adulthood and remembering that every ending is really just a new beginning.

DAY 272  |  October 28, 2007
I stayed in last night, so I was refreshed enough to get up and go for a bike ride over the Williamsburg Bridge today. I pedaled past the South Street Seaport to Jen and Amandaís gorgeous new apartment overlooking the water. My fellow Lost Girls finally have a real home after couch surfing for all these months. I donít know how the heck they did itóI was ready to stop living out of a backpack and get settled as soon as I landed back in the big apple.

I finally got to meet Jenís parents who were there visiting from Florida! After a year of sharing our family stories, it was kind of like I already knew them. They were exactly as Jen described, and just as I imagined: Funny, friendly and willing to do anything to help their little girl (theyíd driven Jenís belongings that were storage to NYC all the way from Florida). What would we ever do without our parents?!
