Watch Me Turn 30, by Holly C.
I'm a 29-year-old New Yorker who inherited this site from my pal, Holly P., to document the final year of my twenties. Right up until I turn the big 3-0 next January, I'll use this blog to indulge my inner-narcissist by voicing the good (I can date men anywhere from ages 21 to 50 without it being scandalous) the bad (I keep getting ma'amed) and the ugly (is it possible to get cellulite on your stomach?!). Here's to waving goodbye to my youth, accepting adulthood and remembering that every ending is really just a new beginning.

DAY 267  |  October 23, 2007
As journalists, Amanda and I were invited to come to the famous David Burke and Donatella restaurant on the Upper East Side. We were so excited when Donatella herself sat down with us for appetizers.

The 34-year old restaurant maven is a Lost Girl at heart: She went to law school, but opted out of that career to do what she really lovesórun restaurants with elegant-but-cozy ambience and delicious, creative menus. When she heard about our yearlong trip, her eyes lit up and she wanted to hear how we did it. Dontatella is also itching to travel, so we suggested going to Buenos Aires: its classy while still be exotic, and not too far away from home.
