Watch Me Turn 30, by Holly C.
I'm a 29-year-old New Yorker who inherited this site from my pal, Holly P., to document the final year of my twenties. Right up until I turn the big 3-0 next January, I'll use this blog to indulge my inner-narcissist by voicing the good (I can date men anywhere from ages 21 to 50 without it being scandalous) the bad (I keep getting ma'amed) and the ugly (is it possible to get cellulite on your stomach?!). Here's to waving goodbye to my youth, accepting adulthood and remembering that every ending is really just a new beginning.

DAY 265  |  October 21, 2007
Steve Jobs, I think youíre a marketing genius, but can you please make gadgets that donít break after a year? Every iPod Iíve ever gotten has had to be replaced shortly after its first birthday, and, maybe not so coincidentally, right after the warranty ran out. My wireless router broke about the same time too, so I had to the big, beautiful Mac store and shell out the $99 for a new one.

I do have to say, the same old iBook that I bought for $1300 right after grad school has lasted me almost five years. And itís still up and running after being lugged around in an overstuffed backpack during my year around the world. Itís like my baby and I canít imagine purchasing a PC as my next laptop.

Iíve gotten into so many heated debates with friends about why Macs are better, and the level of rivalry between PC users and Mac users can match that of Yankee versus Red Sox fans. But this I guarantee: Once you go Mac, you never go back.
