Watch Me Turn 30, by Holly C.
I'm a 29-year-old New Yorker who inherited this site from my pal, Holly P., to document the final year of my twenties. Right up until I turn the big 3-0 next January, I'll use this blog to indulge my inner-narcissist by voicing the good (I can date men anywhere from ages 21 to 50 without it being scandalous) the bad (I keep getting ma'amed) and the ugly (is it possible to get cellulite on your stomach?!). Here's to waving goodbye to my youth, accepting adulthood and remembering that every ending is really just a new beginning.

DAY 218  |  September 4, 2007
I’ve never been inside Barney’s in my life, but I decided to use a gift certificate I’d received to this store as an excuse to update my style. I mean, I can’t wear Forever 21 outfits for the rest of my life!

I took my time browsing through all the different designers’ items, feeling like a kid playing dress up with her grandmother’s most expensive jewels—I was afraid to touch anything! That is, until I found one dress that I really, really loved and looked at the price tag: A hefty $2,800. Who was I kidding? Even if I were the richest woman in the world, I’d never fork over that much cash for a single piece of clothing.

So I high-tailed it over to H&M, dove into the racks, and walked out with the cutest forest green mini dress only $29 poorer—and feeling no guilt.
