Watch Me Turn 30, by Holly C.
I'm a 29-year-old New Yorker who inherited this site from my pal, Holly P., to document the final year of my twenties. Right up until I turn the big 3-0 next January, I'll use this blog to indulge my inner-narcissist by voicing the good (I can date men anywhere from ages 21 to 50 without it being scandalous) the bad (I keep getting ma'amed) and the ugly (is it possible to get cellulite on your stomach?!). Here's to waving goodbye to my youth, accepting adulthood and remembering that every ending is really just a new beginning.

DAY 203  |  August 20, 2007
Thereís this bar on my block that kind of reminds me of Cheers because everybody knows your name. Seriously, itís the only bar I can think of where Iím completely comfortable stopping in by myself because there's almost always somebody I know inside. This is my friend Chris, who invited a group of us to meet his family in Iceland for New Years Eve a few winters back. He makes some Icelandic secret drink he calls ďglugĒ (Iím probably spelling it wrong), that requires heating over the stove for 24 hours. It smells like heaven (cinnamon and cloves) and feels warm going down. Iím recruiting him to whip up a batch for a party on my patio as soon as the weather gets a bit colder. I get happy just thinking about itÖ
