Watch Me Turn 30, by Holly C.
I'm a 29-year-old New Yorker who inherited this site from my pal, Holly P., to document the final year of my twenties. Right up until I turn the big 3-0 next January, I'll use this blog to indulge my inner-narcissist by voicing the good (I can date men anywhere from ages 21 to 50 without it being scandalous) the bad (I keep getting ma'amed) and the ugly (is it possible to get cellulite on your stomach?!). Here's to waving goodbye to my youth, accepting adulthood and remembering that every ending is really just a new beginning.

DAY 201  |  August 18, 2007
My friend is one hot mama (to be). Rather than have the traditional women-only baby shower where all the girls sit around and play games, Dina wanted to have a co-ed barbecue on my patio (which turned out to be more fun!)

When her little girl is born next month, I volunteered to babysit once a week to give her some R&R. Now Iím getting nervous about my offer: What the heck will I do with a tiny baby? Iím scared about not knowing what to do if she just lies there and cries. Iím much better with kids (toddlers and older) because I can talk and play with them. Since thereís no mandatory parenting classes, how do people automatically know what to do with a newborn? Looks like Iím going to get a crash course.
