Watch Me Turn 30, by Holly C.
I'm a 29-year-old New Yorker who inherited this site from my pal, Holly P., to document the final year of my twenties. Right up until I turn the big 3-0 next January, I'll use this blog to indulge my inner-narcissist by voicing the good (I can date men anywhere from ages 21 to 50 without it being scandalous) the bad (I keep getting ma'amed) and the ugly (is it possible to get cellulite on your stomach?!). Here's to waving goodbye to my youth, accepting adulthood and remembering that every ending is really just a new beginning.

DAY 177  |  July 25, 2007
Today was just an ordinary day. Working under a deadline, I dashed out of the office to grab lunch to bring back to my desk. As I rushed down the busy street filled with men in business suits and women on Blackberries, I came across a Buddhist nun. Seeing her shaved head and prayer beads around her wrist, I was transported back to Myanmar for just a moment. I met her warm brown eyes, and wanted to stop to ask her what she was doing and where she came from. Instead, I kept on going. Though I was too shy to approach her, I didnít need to speak with her to be reminded that life doesnít have to move so fast.
