Watch Me Turn 30, by Holly C.
I'm a 29-year-old New Yorker who inherited this site from my pal, Holly P., to document the final year of my twenties. Right up until I turn the big 3-0 next January, I'll use this blog to indulge my inner-narcissist by voicing the good (I can date men anywhere from ages 21 to 50 without it being scandalous) the bad (I keep getting ma'amed) and the ugly (is it possible to get cellulite on your stomach?!). Here's to waving goodbye to my youth, accepting adulthood and remembering that every ending is really just a new beginning.

DAY 175  |  July 23, 2007
Itís my grandmotherís 78th birthday today, and my entire family is at my momís house celebrating with cake and candles. I wish I were there!

I called to wish her a happy day, and asked how many years young she was. ďIím 39 today,Ē she said before cracking up.

ďAnd you donít look a day over 30, Gram!,Ē I replied as she laughed even harder.

My grandma has played cards with the same group of women for almost 50 years. She takes regular trips with the senior group from church. She swims a few times a week at her neighborhood youth center. Watching my Gram has taught me a few things about how to stay young: Keep connected with friends and family, make time for vacations and move your body. But most importantly, be sure to laugh every single day, because you never know when itís going to be your last.
