Watch Me Turn 30, by Holly C.
I'm a 29-year-old New Yorker who inherited this site from my pal, Holly P., to document the final year of my twenties. Right up until I turn the big 3-0 next January, I'll use this blog to indulge my inner-narcissist by voicing the good (I can date men anywhere from ages 21 to 50 without it being scandalous) the bad (I keep getting ma'amed) and the ugly (is it possible to get cellulite on your stomach?!). Here's to waving goodbye to my youth, accepting adulthood and remembering that every ending is really just a new beginning.

DAY 166  |  July 14, 2007
One of my favorite things to do with my mom is go to the farmer’s market on Saturday morning. If anyone ever visits this market in Syracuse, I have two words for you: Doughnut cart. For a measly 50 cents you can buy an airy, melt-in-your-mouth, cinnamon-and-sugar coated taste of heaven. Ditch the diet and dig in—you won’t regret it.

Besides doughnuts, kettle corn and Amish baked goods, you’ll find farm-fresh produce, sweet-smelling flowers, organic soaps and much more. My mom and I make a ritual of picking up healthy fruits and veggies, and then going home to cook up a yummy meal. Okay, she makes the meal. My job is to be the taste tester. I’m good at it!
