Watch Me Turn 30, by Holly C.
I'm a 29-year-old New Yorker who inherited this site from my pal, Holly P., to document the final year of my twenties. Right up until I turn the big 3-0 next January, I'll use this blog to indulge my inner-narcissist by voicing the good (I can date men anywhere from ages 21 to 50 without it being scandalous) the bad (I keep getting ma'amed) and the ugly (is it possible to get cellulite on your stomach?!). Here's to waving goodbye to my youth, accepting adulthood and remembering that every ending is really just a new beginning.

DAY 144  |  June 22, 2007
Wow. I’m the queen of playing catch up. I finally got to hang with my friends from work, and forgot that every outing with them is fun—and crazy. We went to a rooftop bbq (I seem to be doing that a lot lately) and had the best grilled shrimp and carrot cake.

After stuffing ourselves with food, we talked the night away over mojitos at a trendy bar filled with fashionistas in the East Village. It was surreal to retell my tales of sleeping with cockroaches in Africa and getting my purse slashed in Vietnam in such an upscale atmosphere. The dichotomy of my life this year is pretty insane.
