Watch Me Turn 30, by Holly C.
I'm a 29-year-old New Yorker who inherited this site from my pal, Holly P., to document the final year of my twenties. Right up until I turn the big 3-0 next January, I'll use this blog to indulge my inner-narcissist by voicing the good (I can date men anywhere from ages 21 to 50 without it being scandalous) the bad (I keep getting ma'amed) and the ugly (is it possible to get cellulite on your stomach?!). Here's to waving goodbye to my youth, accepting adulthood and remembering that every ending is really just a new beginning.

DAY 111  |  May 20, 2007
Im a surfer girl! Well, at least I can stand up on a board. Were crashing at Mojos Surf Camp, which is north of Coffs Harbor, for the next few days. The girls and I shared a rustic cabin with two bunk beds and were awoken at the ungodly hour of 6 a.m. We chowed down at picnic tables after lining up with about thirty other campers for a breakfast of fried eggs, cereal and toast.

Afterwards we were instructed on how to steer clear of a riptide and paddle on a board before hitting the waves to try it for ourselves. Hanging ten was made a bit easier, thanks to wetsuits to keep us warm and lightweight Styrofoam boards to help us find our balance better.

Fresh air. Healthy food. Chilling on the beach. I could get used to this lifestyle.
