Watch Me Turn 30, by Holly C.
I'm a 29-year-old New Yorker who inherited this site from my pal, Holly P., to document the final year of my twenties. Right up until I turn the big 3-0 next January, I'll use this blog to indulge my inner-narcissist by voicing the good (I can date men anywhere from ages 21 to 50 without it being scandalous) the bad (I keep getting ma'amed) and the ugly (is it possible to get cellulite on your stomach?!). Here's to waving goodbye to my youth, accepting adulthood and remembering that every ending is really just a new beginning.

DAY 99  |  May 8, 2007
If I look a little freaked out, it’s because I’m a snake-holding virgin. Since I had so much fun yesterday at Sydney’s aquarium, today I decided to check out the city’s newest attraction, Wildlife World. It was slightly more, uh, hands-on than I expected. While offering eucalyptus leaves to fuzzy koalas was a good time, touching scaly snakes was a wee bit scary. Especially after letting my imagination run wild in “Insect World” while staring at a live funnel-web spider (the deadliest on earth!) in order to prepare myself should I ever encounter one on a hike. Let’s just say I’d prefer to observe Australia’s wealth of creepy crawlies from the other side of a pane of glass.
