Watch Me Turn 30, by Holly C.
I'm a 29-year-old New Yorker who inherited this site from my pal, Holly P., to document the final year of my twenties. Right up until I turn the big 3-0 next January, I'll use this blog to indulge my inner-narcissist by voicing the good (I can date men anywhere from ages 21 to 50 without it being scandalous) the bad (I keep getting ma'amed) and the ugly (is it possible to get cellulite on your stomach?!). Here's to waving goodbye to my youth, accepting adulthood and remembering that every ending is really just a new beginning.

DAY 93  |  May 2, 2007
The joy of a road trip is being able to make spontaneous pit stops. During the four-hour ride to Barrington Tops National Park in New South Wales for an impromptu camping trip, I pulled over when I spotted a sign advertising free wine tastings. The vino itself wasn’t all that great, but the owner was overflowing with random facts. Did you know that the reason you often see rose bushes planted at the end of a row of vines is because they’re prone to the same types of mildews and molds as grapes? Roses show symptoms much sooner, making them an attractive indicator that the vines will need to be treated before the damage gets done. Huh, I learn something new every day.
