Watch Me Turn 30, by Holly C.
I'm a 29-year-old New Yorker who inherited this site from my pal, Holly P., to document the final year of my twenties. Right up until I turn the big 3-0 next January, I'll use this blog to indulge my inner-narcissist by voicing the good (I can date men anywhere from ages 21 to 50 without it being scandalous) the bad (I keep getting ma'amed) and the ugly (is it possible to get cellulite on your stomach?!). Here's to waving goodbye to my youth, accepting adulthood and remembering that every ending is really just a new beginning.

DAY 82  |  April 21, 2007
This is one of those days that I can’t believe really happened. Earlier this week, my fellow Lost Girls and I got an email from a producer at CNN who came across our travel blog and asked if we’d appear on a new show called “Project Life.” Thinking it was too good to be true, we tracked down CNN’s switchboard number in Atlanta for proof and asked the operator if the producer really worked there. As it turned out, she does. We got back to her immediately (well, right after doing a little dance around the living room) and the Atlanta-based producer arranged for a team from their Sydney bureau to follow us around for today.

It was fun to see firsthand how a show gets filmed. The sound guy taped a mic underneath my shirt, two camera guys trailed behind us and a producer explained where we’d travel to get the shots. Tourists kept stopping to snap photos, mistaking us for celebrities.

It just goes to show you, if you try to go for your dream, good things will somehow come your way.
