I visited the spot where the Blair Witch Project was filmed. April Fools! Seriously though, we pulled over for a bathroom break while driving down the coast of the South Island and stumbled upon this eerie and beautiful beach. Itís adorned with driftwood resembling human bones, the charred remains of bonfires and pale rocks arranged in creepy circular patterns.
I keep seeing these tee-pee structures made of driftwood, but donít know what the heck they are. This one has reeds tied to it with stones hanging. Jen speculates that itís some kind of Maori offering. With the sun setting fast, I decided not stick around to find out.
