Watch Me Turn 30, by Holly C.
I'm a 29-year-old New Yorker who inherited this site from my pal, Holly P., to document the final year of my twenties. Right up until I turn the big 3-0 next January, I'll use this blog to indulge my inner-narcissist by voicing the good (I can date men anywhere from ages 21 to 50 without it being scandalous) the bad (I keep getting ma'amed) and the ugly (is it possible to get cellulite on your stomach?!). Here's to waving goodbye to my youth, accepting adulthood and remembering that every ending is really just a new beginning.

DAY 45  |  March 15, 2007
There are a few things you should definitely not do before hopping on a flight. This includes obsessively googling stories about a recent airplane crash that killed dozens of passengers on the very same airline you’re about to fly after landing in the very same airport you’re currently in (such as Garuda airlines in Indonesia). F.Y.I. God: I’m too young to die!

After freaking out and trying to switch our New Zealand flight to a less-sketchy airline than Garuda, the girls and I nixed the option of purchasing a whole new ticket. Instead, we resorted to washing down sleeping pills with a little liquid courage while silently praying. After lots of turbulence-laced dreams about a Hezbollah-manned aircraft approaching our plane to take one person named “Holly” hostage, I awoke to find myself landing safely in Kiwi Land. Thank you Jesus!
