Ah, itís just another day in paradise. I watched an amazing sunset and then kicked back on some cushions to eat grilled chicken at a restaurant right on the beach. Since I usually have my fellow Lost Girls (Jen and Amanda) as my friendship safety cushion, Iím not used to dining alone. At first, I felt self-conscious with all the cuddling couples and boisterous boozers seated around me. But as the sun melted into the sea and Jack Johnson tunes played in the background, I stopped worrying (hey, these strangers arenít paying attention to me anyway) and started to relax.
You know what? Eating by yourself is actually kinda funóyouíre completely free to people watch and daydream. I vowed not take another minute for granted. I mean, in only three short months Iíll be back in New York, broke as a joke and trying to figure out how to pay rent in one of the most expensive cities in the world. Until then, Iíll be content to soak up the good life.
