Watch Me Turn 30, by Holly C.
I'm a 29-year-old New Yorker who inherited this site from my pal, Holly P., to document the final year of my twenties. Right up until I turn the big 3-0 next January, I'll use this blog to indulge my inner-narcissist by voicing the good (I can date men anywhere from ages 21 to 50 without it being scandalous) the bad (I keep getting ma'amed) and the ugly (is it possible to get cellulite on your stomach?!). Here's to waving goodbye to my youth, accepting adulthood and remembering that every ending is really just a new beginning.

DAY 22  |  February 20, 2007
My days of living in luxury are over: I separated from Amanda and her family to take an overnight bus ride to Koh Tao, an island in southern Thailand famous for both diving and inspiring the setting of the cult classic flick ďThe Beach,Ē with Leonardo DiCaprio. This is me at 2:30 a.m., tired and ticked off. Trips such as these often take twice as long as they should because travel companies make pit stops at restaurants and shops all along the way to suck as much cash as they can from customers. Iím boycotting this restaurant stop by staying on the bus. Besides, Iím still full from binging on my convenience-story stash of Snickers, almonds and corn chipsó7-11s are more common in Bangkok than Starbucks in the big apple. Thatís good for me, because God forbid I should have to take a road trip without emergency sustenance on hand.
