Watch Me Turn 30, by Holly C.
I'm a 29-year-old New Yorker who inherited this site from my pal, Holly P., to document the final year of my twenties. Right up until I turn the big 3-0 next January, I'll use this blog to indulge my inner-narcissist by voicing the good (I can date men anywhere from ages 21 to 50 without it being scandalous) the bad (I keep getting ma'amed) and the ugly (is it possible to get cellulite on your stomach?!). Here's to waving goodbye to my youth, accepting adulthood and remembering that every ending is really just a new beginning.

DAY 11  |  February 9, 2007
I just arrived in Myanmar to discover that the government has banned all web-based email. Being Internet addicts, Amanda and I were rendered completely speechless (quite a rarity, mind you).

My first thoughts: How are we going to stay connected for the next eight days?! If you write an email and canít hit send, does your message still exist? My next: Wow, without the pressure to respond to emails, I can rest easy. And itís a good thing: After hitting the hay at 2 a.m. and getting up at 4 a.m. to make our ass-crack of dawn flight to Yangon, I feel like a zombie. For now, Iím going to catch some shut-eye on my hotelís marshmallow-y bed, the first comfortable spot Iíve slept in weeks. When I wake up, Iíll try to post todayís blog. If youíre reading this, itís only because I found a cafť that somehow managed to illegally bypass the email block. Iíll be back in touch after my weeklong cruise through Myanmar.
