Watch Me Turn 30, by Holly C.
I'm a 29-year-old New Yorker who inherited this site from my pal, Holly P., to document the final year of my twenties. Right up until I turn the big 3-0 next January, I'll use this blog to indulge my inner-narcissist by voicing the good (I can date men anywhere from ages 21 to 50 without it being scandalous) the bad (I keep getting ma'amed) and the ugly (is it possible to get cellulite on your stomach?!). Here's to waving goodbye to my youth, accepting adulthood and remembering that every ending is really just a new beginning.

DAY 3  |  February 1, 2007
Thereís something about getting a haircut that makes me feel like a new woman. Risking the mullet that could result from a potential language barrier, I walked into this cute little salon in Hanoiís Old Quarter. Relief washed over me as I observed how serious my stylist, a twenty-something Vietnamese guy, took his art: He carefully inspected every strand while he worked his magic scissors. Confident that my hair was in good hands, I relaxed enough to flip through the UK version of Marie Claire and read a story about women bloggers who use the web as a tool for self-expression (how fitting!). For just 10 bucks, I got a shampoo, shoulder massage, cut and blow dry that would have cost 10 times as much in the big apple. I am happy to report I walked out a very satisfied customer.
